CIO Processing Update

CIC updated on the processing of cases under Federal Skilled Worker Program applications. After June 26, 2010, CIO will complete the final eligibility assessment thus the complete application and all supporting documents from the visa post checklist including original language test results must be submitted to CIO upon filing.

The only exceptions are Right of Permanent Residence Fees, medical exam result and criminal record check. Missing admissibility documents such as medical and criminal record check should not hold up the determination of eligibility to apply.

What is the Canada Child Tax Benefit?

The Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) is a tax-free monthly payment made to eligible Canadian families to help them with the cost of raising children under age 18. To receive it, you must be either a citizen of Canada, permanent resident or temporary resident who has lived in Canada for 18 months or more.
